The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch East is located in Yellowstone National Park near Cody, Wyoming. This upscale working cattle, riding and adventure ranch is situated in the tiny town of Shell, Wyoming located at the base of the Shell Canyon and Big Horn National Forest. The ranch includes 300,000 acres and has access to a total 650,000 acres. Elevations range from 4,200 feet to 13,100 feet and include a wide diversity of landscape and scenery.

The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch EastHere they seek to keep the guest experience as intimate as possible and therefore the number of riders is limited to 25 or fewer per week. This allows staff to provide each guest with a personalized, customized and genuine experience while visiting. The owners take great pride in their horses and welcome riders of all levels from around the world to come and ride the animals.

The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch offers a variety of non-riding activities to guests including fly-fishing and fly-fishing initiation, trapshooting, archery, 4×4 tours, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, photography weeks, ranch tours, and visits to the local dinosaur dig sites. Sites nearby include the Bighorn Basin, which has been known to yield a number of dinosaur fossils.

Lodging options onsite are upscale, very clean, up to date and well maintained. In addition, meals are prepared onsite daily and area made with fresh, local produce and other items from the region.
The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch considers themselves to be a western horseback riding paradise for all levels of riders looking for upscale pampering, great horseback riding, a unique and endless variety of trails and cattle work on a 300,000-acre cattle ranch. Just as their riding offers a quality, fun and safe riding experience for all levels of riders, their cattle work offers the same experience. They seek to offer their guests the experience of working with cattle through work in their lower pastures and arena. By working in these spaces, guests get the opportunity to work in a safe, manageable location while partaking in an authentic cattle work experience.
