William Bailey Travel Reviews A UK New Year's CelebrationWith the New Year right around the corner why not let the year go out with a bang and spend the holiday in the UK? If you start the New Year out in a great and exciting location it’s only bound to get better. If this sounds like a great idea to you, William Bailey Travel reviews some tips and advice to help you plan. The holidays’ are upon us, start planning today.

London Accommodations and More

Forget booking a hotel if you’re planning on staying in London; why not rent an entire house? You can stay in what will be your own space for the duration, and if you are going with a group it will cost you far less. Once you find the perfect place you can then choose how you want to spend the cusp of the New Year. You can choose the traditional route and head to Trafalgar Square or catch the astounding fireworks display at the London Eye. Or maybe you just want to book the house for you and your friends, or perhaps the family, and stay in for a house party, just on the other side of the pond instead of your own digs.

Edinburgh Parties

Edinburgh is a great place to end the year and start the new one with a bang. Hogmanay in Edinburgh is one of the world’s best NYE’s street parties. The streets are alive with music, theater, singing, some bad, some good, and no surprise, drinking. Top off the evening with a great fireworks display. This New Year’s party draws upwards of 100,000 people. Sleep in the next day, and then get some sight-seeing in and eat a big breakfast the next day at one of Edinburgh’s classic restaurants.

The Beauty of the English Countryside

If you are looking for a little country and perhaps to nestle in for a romantic getaway for the New Year, head to Dorset in the English countryside. Book a sleepy romantic cottage and hole up or go to the market town two miles down the street for a burlesque bash. You will be surprised at all this part of the UK has to offer.

There are endless options for welcoming the New Year, especially in a region as diverse as the UK. Find out what you have been missing on your next vacation.
