William Bailey Travel Reviews Where to Find the Best Hot Chocolate in the USWinter is just around the corner and places around the US are already beginning to get chilly. For many, there is nothing better than a great cup of hot chocolate to warm you up on the coldest of days. The comfort of the warm cup taking the chill out of your hands, and the delicious taste of excellent chocolate warms you to your toes. If you love a good cup of cocoa, William Bailey Travel invites you to take a closer look at some of the best places in the country to choose from. These aren’t your average instant powder cups of hot cocoa, but a truly decadent delight to warm your senses.

What better way to warm up then a cup of hot chocolate after a day skiing on the mountain in Vail. The Four Seasons Fireside Lounge serves up a lovely cup. The tableside service offers a muddle of Valrhona chocolate with hot milk. They then pour the mixture over a chocolate lattice that melts from the heat of the milk. It is then topped with marshmallows and whipped cream and served with a chocolate streusel. This is truly an alpine delight for anyone.

If you are heading to the Big Apple there are a couple of places to grab a great cup of chocolate. Balked in Brooklyn’s ultra-rich hot chocolate is made with bittersweet and milk chocolate and then is topped with homemade marshmallows. City Bakery in New York City makes their cup of heaven from melted chocolate bars and then is topped with their own homemade marshmallows. In February during the Hot Chocolate Festival, they serve a different flavor every day for the entire month.

For those that like a little spice with their sweet, look no further than Cacao in Atlanta. The hot cocoa is super spicy with six different types of chilies, dark chocolate and topped with a fresh marshmallow. They are keeping it spicy at Christopher Elbow Artisanal Chocolates in Kansas City, Missouri too. Their Venezuelan Spiced hot chocolate is made with steamed milk, dark chocolate, spices such as cayenne and cinnamon, two kinds of chilies, and then topped with homemade whipped cream and marshmallows.

After indulging in one of these delightful beverages, you might not look at hot chocolate quite the same again.
